
In preparation for the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) matches scheduled from March 22, 2025, Bharti Airtel has made comprehensive arrangements at the Narendra Modi Stadium. These efforts will ensure a seamless network experience for the anticipated crowd of nearly 100,000 cricketing fans during the matches.Airtel has enhanced four of its existing cell sites and deployed a supplementary Cell on Wheels (COW) within the stadium vicinity. This augmentation will significantly improve voice and data connectivity for Airtel customers attending the matches. The network upgrades have been strategically planned to accommodate the expected high volume of spectators.Speaking on the readiness, Adarsh Verma, CEO – Gujarat, Bharti Airtel said: “Recognizing the immense popularity and significance of the upcoming cricket tournament, we have proactively strengthened the mobile network infrastructure across the Narendra Modi Stadium. This measure accounts for the colossal volume of spectators expected to throng the venue, ensuring our customers can seamlessly stay connected with their loved ones while immersed in the electrifying atmosphere.”To offer seamless and ubiquitous network experience across Ahmedabad city, extensive network optimization has been carried out at the airport, railway stations, key locations, including temples, corporate business parks, and areas of public interests, and all the premium hotels in and around the city have undergone comprehensive network assessments to enhance coverage.Airtel has taken measures specifically for IPL and have augmented its network across all the stadiums in the country to cater to the cricket fever starting from March to May 2025.
